Scunthorpe’s Riddings Community Hub to undergo £1.2m revamp
A £1.2m refurbishment of Scunthorpe’s Riddings Community Hub is due to begin later this month, with improvements planned for the swimming pool, changing facilities, roof and wider building.
The pool will close on 17 July to allow the work to get under way. The gym, library and other facilities at the hub will remain open for a further six weeks before affected areas are closed to enable the work to be carried out safely.
The project includes significant structural improvements to the roof and the building, alongside the upgrades to the pool and changing areas. The refurbishment is expected to be completed by February 2027.
The investment is intended to modernise the Riddings Community Hub and help secure its future as a local facility for years to come.
North Lincolnshire Council leader Rob Waltham said leisure facilities played an important part in helping people lead healthier and more active lives. He said the authority had made significant investment in leisure facilities across North Lincolnshire in recent years.
